Using tangible objects such as thread, buttons, and raffia have helped me to weave every-day life into a fantasy storybook setting. These materials tangle their way into the canvas and create a playful and unusual texture. A combination of silliness and macabre, my illustrations are sometimes collaged in an abstract and experimental mode. In the end, the fusion between experimental and control, creates a balance necessary for the finished piece.
